Controlling sexual urges?

im a 13yr old female, and i get aroused often. i know itz because of puberty and horomonal changes but it kinda bothers me because i feel that way alot at random times. i wanna stay a virgin till im married, so im not having sex..but doesnt masturbating help controll these urges? please give me serious answers :P
