How can I get controll of my hair?

My mom controlls it.I take care of my hair myself I dint new her help.she says she Gina braid it up and keep it lik tht for a couple months but I don't want it tht way but she dosent care!!!!!I Its always Like this it's like she owns it. How do I get controll over my hair?
