WILL SWITCHING TO BIRTH CONTROL PILLS HELP REGULATE MY PERIOD AFTER DISCONTINUING DEPO ?

im 26 years old and my husband and i are ready to have a baby,the only problem is that i once got on depo in october of last year.which was my first&&only shot.i was due for my next shot in january..but i didn't get it due to major problems with the depo..ive been off the shot for at least 6 months now&i still haven't had a period,i just got a pack of birth controll pills yesterday..will they help to regulate my periods&&also help with ttc in the future ps:i would really appreciate if you guys be very helpful !
