Chicken cordon bleu question?

I am making chicken cordon bleu for the first time this weekend. My question is, is there a sauce that you serve it with? The recipe didn't have one but it sort of seems like the kind of dish that has sauce. If so, can you please provide your recipe? Also, what side dish would be good? Thank you!
