Something is wrong with my ps3?

I have a ps3 controller that would slowly make my character move in black ops. it then gets worse till the point i cant control it anymore and you see my character just run and move in circles. then it gets better again slowly after like 20 minutes. idk whats happened to it. when i put the charger in, it goes crazy and my character goes spins in all kinds of directions. then when i hold the ps button in the middle, i cant even controll the main menu. whats causing the problem? my other controllers work perfectly fine. any help?
